Dr. Charles Smith
Founder & Dentist
Dr. Charles Smith is the founder of Southern Rivers Dental. He is a second-generation dentist. He holds degrees in biology and chemistry from Georgia College & State University, is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and received advanced education in general dentistry from South Texas Veterans Affairs. He enjoys making a difference in people’s lives through dental health.
Dr. Smith believes that a smile makes a great first and long-lasting impression, and he wants to help make that first impression a great one for his patients. His goal is to improve each patient’s oral health care and further the Kingdom of God through his dental talents. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kyndall, his two daughters, Olivia and Hensley and son, Levi.
Dr. Bryana Osborne
DDS
Dr. Osborne graduated from the University of New Mexico with degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology. After finishing her undergraduate career, she went on to attend Creighton University of School Dentistry of Omaha, Nebraska, where she received her degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Dr. Osborne’s goal is to glorify God by treating each of her patients with gentleness, integrity, and quality of care. In her free time, Dr. Osborne loves spending time with her husband, Matt, and son, David.
She is an active member of her church and enjoys utilizing her skills and interests to serve the Lord.
Kyna, Office Manager
Kyna graduated from Northgate High School in 2005. She attended West Georgia Technical College to achieve her certificate for basic Dental Assisting and certified as an x-ray technician. Kyna has had a passion for Dentistry since her first dental cleaning as a child, she has been in dentistry for over 18 years. Her top priority is to make sure all patients are welcomed and comfortable here at Southern Rivers. She enjoys photography and crocheting in her spare time. When Kyna is not working, she is spending time with her husband and their children. They enjoy outdoor play time with their pups Jax and Mollie.
Caroline, Front Office Associate
Caroline has been in the dental field since 2000. She loves serving others and making them smile. Caroline has been married for 34 years and has a son in college. She enjoys keeping a joyful and positive atmosphere at Southern Rivers Dental. Her coworkers would describe her as being upbeat and vibrant with a contagious spirit. Caroline’s goal at Southern Rivers is to reflect Christ’s character among patients and create a positive environment for each visit. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out at home with her Airedale, Bruno.
Cora, Front Office Associate
Cora has been in the Dental field since 2021. She received her education from Southern Crescent Technical College. She has always enjoyed her dental visits as a child, and she hopes to create that same impact on each patient at Southern Rivers Dental. Cora’s main goal is to always share a friendly smile when patients walk in and make sure, they feel welcomed. Outside of work, you can find Cora spending time with her boyfriend and family, and she will always have a book in her hand.
Alexus, Insurance Coordinator
Alexus graduated from Heard County High School in 2019. Alexus loves working in the dental field and having the opportunity to help patients feel comfortable while in the office and confident when leaving the office. Her goal is to treat each patient with kindness while positively impacting their oral health. When Alexus is not working, she can be found spending time with her husband, Jordan, or going on walks with her dog, Rylo.
Katelyn, Registered Dental Hygienist
Katelyn is a dental hygienist who has been with our practice since 2012. She received her training at West Georgia Technical College. She is also certified by the Georgia Board of Dentistry. Katelyn loves spending time with patients, building relationships with them and explaining the importance of oral hygiene. She makes sure every patient is well-informed about their oral care, and she is always happy to answer any questions or address any concerns.
Making patients feel welcomed and assuring them that they are receiving quality care is very important to her. When she isn’t working, Katelyn enjoys Olympic weightlifting, playing video games with her four brothers, and hanging out with her adorable niece and nephew.
Allyson, Hygiene Assistant
Allyson graduated from Newnan High School and received her basic and advanced dental assisting certifications from West GA Tech in 2025. She has always had a passion for dentistry and is excited to grow in her career. In her free time while she isn’t working, she enjoys shopping, watching movies, and being with her dogs. She’s very thankful to be a part of such a great team!
Taylor, Hygiene Assistant
Taylor graduated from Northgate High School in 2022 and is excited to begin her journey in the dental field. She loves being part of a team that helps patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles, and she can’t wait to see where her new career takes her. Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys spending time with her boyfriend of four years, Mason, being outdoors, going to the lake, and fitting in a bit of shopping whenever she can. She brings a warm, welcoming energy to our office and looks forward to getting to know all our patients.
Bethany, Registered Dental Hygienist
Bethany is from Macon, GA where she completed her dental hygiene degree at Central Georgia Technical College. She spent the first 4 years of her career working in periodontics, learning from one of the best in the SE. She strives to provide pristine cleanings and giving oral hygiene instructions so our patients can maintain themselves while away from the office. In Bethany’s time away from the office she enjoys hiking and spending time with family.
Amy, Dental Assistant
Amy is a dental assistant who has been with our Newnan, GA dental practice since 2003. She received her training through the UAB hygiene preceptorship program. Amy enjoys the team she works with and likes to interact with patients, helping to provide customized and diverse care every day. When she is not working, Amy enjoys reading, sitting by the pool, and spending time with friends and family
Brianna, Dental Assistant
Brianna has been a dental assistant for 5 years and has been with Southern Rivers Dental since January 2023. Brianna was raised in Madison, GA and currently resides in Roanoke, AL with her significant other, Damien, and two fur babies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and watching college football. War Eagle!
Briana, Dental Assistant
Briana has been a dental assistant for 4 years and joined our team here at Southern Rivers Dental in May 2024. She loved visiting the dentist as a child and couldn’t wait until she could work in an office herself. Briana loves caring for all her patients and watching smiles light up on their faces! In her spare time, Briana enjoys going to Braves games with her husband Brody and son Landyn, and spending time with friends and family.
Gabby, Dental Assistant
Gabby graduated from East Coweta High School in 2012. She attended West Georgia Technical College in 2015 to achieve her Expanded Function Dental Assisting Certificate. Gabby has been in dentistry for over 7 years. When Gabby is not at work, she is spending time with her family.
Jordan, Dental Assistant
Jordan has been with Southern Rivers Dental since August 2022. She graduated from West Georgia Technical College in 2017 as a certified dental assistant and has been in dentistry ever since. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jan and their two kids.
Ashley, Nurse
Ashley graduated from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has 13 years of clinical experience, with 10 of those being in the cardiac and medical ICU. She enjoys making patients feel at ease despite the anxiety many feel when coming in for dental surgery. When not at work, Ashely enjoys puzzles, games and being outside with her family.
